I previously posted about how my mom was upset I was working on the fourth but also wanted to go out to a family movie on the fourth and didn’t realize how the two were linked (I maintain and set displays in big box stores so any holiday is a busy time for me with all the promo stuff).
For Labor Day I worked my butt of to get all my work done over the weekend so I could take the day off on the condition that we stay in and spend the day together as a family. That went well…. Except for the part where my mom and dad just had to run up to the mall real quick to get my dad some socks and then ended up stoping at Lego to get my dad a new set and stopped by Best Buy to browse and look at the displays I had set for Labor Day.
Like I had one condition for overworking myself to try to take a day off for you and you can’t put your consumerism on hold for one day?!
Complete side rant, I hate how this job introduces me to good music and they wrecks those songs. I just updated some demo loops to include Devon cole’s w.I.t.c.h. And it’s a banger that I really like and I’m sad it will be wrecked for me in a couple weeks when I’ve heard it for the ten thousandth time.
