My boss has been instrumental in getting me into a hybrid (inside/outside) sales position at work. I love the man, he's a great guy, but he lives, breathes and eats the company and sales, was like a son to the recently deceased owner, etc.
He told me the other day it's not a cushy job (giving me a hard time for only spending 8 hours outside, including the time to travel back to the office). That the outside salesmen leave their houses at five in the morning and get back at six in the evening.
I'm salaried, for the record, as all our salesmen are.
I'm just curious about all your views and opinions on this. I only do it every other Wednesday myself, but still…. Would you say this is acceptable for the company to ask for from you?
I'm stressed out at work as it is, and get so little time with my family and/or hobbies anyway, I have literally zero desire to spend more than 8hr working. 🤔
