Owner asking for Teams meeting but sends a bot? Isn’t this rude?

The owner of the company does not attend most online meetings but rather sends a bot that records it for him. I find this extremely rude because he is suppose to attend these meetings so we can ask him questions or get answers. I'd be fine if it was a policy that every meeting gets recorded so it can be rewatched for people that weren't there, but when he just sends a bot where he is a required attendee in the meeting, to me is like taking the piss. Do you think this is normal, or am I overreacting?
