Owner/Boss used my Notary stamp w/ forgery without my consent or notification

I just got back from vacation come into the office and found a document on the scanner that had my notary stamp and forged signature. Dated while I was on vacation. Oh and for a subsidiary company that I do not actually work for, but the owner of my company owns as well. Finding the document on the scanner was my first notification this had been done. It is something I would have notarized no problem had I been in the office. Now i got the notary solely for this job and it was paid for by the company, but it is my stamp and my responsibility for use. I am the notary, not the company and when i leave the stamp and authority is still mine. This is completely unacceptable to use without my permission or consent. I like my job solely because it is easy. Very small company…

Harmless Prank

I worked at a great little office, just part-time. The owner sold the practice and the new Dentist was an ass. I put in my two weeks notice and when he couldn't convince me to stay he got abusive and told me that my resignation was effective immediately and to leave. I didnt even get to tell my coworkers goodbye. Does anyone have any ideas of annoying texts I could sign him up for since I have his personal cell?

These posts are scaring me

I'll be going for my BS in Computer Science by the end of the year. I see a lot of stories on here about the dread of getting into tech jobs and interviewing for them. I'm wondering if I even stand a chance out of college as I have to work while I go to school and I don't think I'd even be able to land an internship for “experience”. It's the fastest growing sector but also really hard to get into. Feel like my hands are tied and I'm definitely hesitant to make a 78k move and that be a mistake.

How can I be less stressed about my job

Hello everyone, I wanted to ask about how I can be less stressed. My job is not that stressful actually but dealing with people makes it impossible to like. I work at a management for an apartment complex (English is not my first language so I hope you can understand). Anyway, after 5 months that I started to work there the tenants started to change so now it's mostly foreigners and me because my co-workers (full time) quitted and now I am the only one doing it for a low salary of 2500 which I spend 1500 to rent and around 500 to bills. The minimum wage where I live is around 9000 but here comes the complicated part my boyfriend is doing his compulsory military service and I can't afford another place right now because the rent is at least 2700(paid in advance for a year, they don't accept…

A certain hotel is having a mandatory ALL HANDS gathering all day tomorrow. attendance is required.

Seems awfully suspicious that this “important” meeting for the hotel employees falls on voting day. Way too coincidental.

My rich friend was bragging about how he is a hardcore capitalist because he believes people should work for their money

I have a friend who is well off. His family is filthy rich and his dad recently gave him a loan of thousands of dollars to start a business which he is earning a lot from. The other day we were talking about work and he goes that he is a hardcore capitalist and that it helps everyone work and earn their own profit. He talked about how people don't work hard and then cry about poverty. I gently reminded him about his financial status and that most people have to work day long jobs. He goes “they still have 8 hours in their days left” as if after working a tiring job they won't need sleep and are exhausted. When I told him that he says they are just excuses. I am so mad at the moment at him. He is a good friend but sometimes he is delusional…

The problem lies in the greed and disconnect of previous generations

The boomer have a total disconnect of how much things costs, a house that costed 250k when they were in their 30s currently costs 2M, yet they think a pay equal to what they got paid back then is fair and good enough for us. And gen X people that are the directors and CEOs currently continue that 80s trend of ultra greed for them, with outlandish salaries for the top management while mere crumbs for the rest of the company. The 80s was a time of extreme greed for the young gen X, money was everything and showing up money was the thing to do. Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk for example, early gen X, that are CEOs and billionaires, wasting their excess wealth in vanity project instead of provide a fair pay for their workers, and fighting unions. BTW dear billionaires the best way to avoid a union…

Bad managers turn good jobs bad

The title is a pretty simple take we can all agree on, but I thought I’d post a little sanity check. I started a new job recently. Before getting to the new job, a little about my work history: My first job was in my university’s research center. I was doing “telephone surveys” where I’d basically cold call Medicare beneficiaries (mostly old widows) all day long, and ask them basic questions like “how many meals a day do you eat?” — every single call was another sob story about how their grandkids didn’t call anymore, or about how they were sometimes lucky to afford TWO meals a day. I was fired for “not sticking to the script” when I felt bad for one lady who just needed someone to talk to. After that, it was a string of hospitality, retail and IT jobs, with one bad manager after another. I’ve…
