Far too many of these jobs just aren’t worth the bs that comes with it. Overnights at gas stations comes with loads of stress and on top they want you to do so much running around to stay busy for the full 8 hours overnight and try to make you stay and get 10 mins of overtime everyday? Nah chief, good luck getting someone who wants to do 40hrs a week on overnight and stay until the next person comes to the register. Employers need to stop testing their employees patience.

Is it really worth being miserable and work at a job you HATE for the rest of your life just to LIVE? To me, that's NOT the way to live. But then again, we all have certain level of passions that we are talented in but Passions don't necessarily pay the bills.

This is a weird one but I have decided to leave my job due to some complications in my personal life, but more due to the fact that the company has been fucking me around for over two months now. I ended up calling out last week for the week because I got sick of their shit after finishing a 14 hour shift and being told my job was easy so I shouldn’t mind. I was hired on to work 8’s but they always have you work 10+, usually 12. They also switched me departments by peer pressuring me to do so on multiple occasions eventually forcing me to shift out of my original department and then jump departments twice more. I have a lot of gripes about this job and it’s gotten to the point when I am financially stable enough to quit. My problem is, this place doesn’t…

The job is just not what I wanted. I knew it after the first week. It's not a crappy job, pay is okay, it just doesn't suit me. So I'm looking for another one. A better one. And I have an interview on Thursday. Wish me luck.

I started a new production job in June of 2020 after not working for over a year due to personal issues/covid lockdown. Needed a job so I took it (and arguably in many ways settling just for a paycheck). Boss and I agreed I’d start out under the table and eventually get put on the books, so I (naively) filled out tax info at the start. I pressed multiple times throughout working there about being put on the books but nothing ever changed/kept getting pushed off.
