So, I applied for a job for a company I will not name, the job is working in the kitchen cooking food and catering basically however, not only did the application itself have a ridiculous number of questions which were related to things that were going on when I was 11 now I also have to complete 6 “lessons” in order to be able to have my application going to stage two. Wouldn't it be fun if my application got rejected even after all the nonsense I have to put up with?
Minimum Wage plus Benefits!
First, they cancelled my second interview with some not so clear reasoning. (Ok, whatever because I wasn't in the mood for an interview anyway tbh.) Then, after some time has passed, they contact me out of the blue to see if I am still interested. I want to make money BUT I'm not willing to work at min wage when I know I'm worth more than that. (Everyone's worth more than min wage actually.) I almost feel as though that cancellation was on purpose to try to get me at min wage if I was still available and desperate for $ by then. (I could be wrong ofc.) Ugh. I know that I should be happy that I got contacted but it feels empowering to have told them the pay was a no-no for me. Sad part is that no one else has contacted me but it's ok since I…
How does it feel to be forced to resign?
A close colleague was allegedly forced to resign today. He was allegedly “me too'ed” and was asked by the company to resign. I wonder how he must feel right now because of this knowing that he had massive contributions to the company. I don't know what truly happened. Some say it was only a misunderstanding while some say otherwise. But it got me thinking. For your contributions to be reduced to a single moment….. Must be very depressing.
Any opportunity to work ?
I’m a tech man looking for some remote jobs. I need asap, I got some medical problems and I need to save some money to solve them. So I’m looking for any opportunity to work remote. Thanks, I hope I don’t bother nobody !
This wonderful policy outlines in clear and concise terms that your employment may be terminated by yourself or your employer at any time for any reason. Furthermore, any company policy within the rest of these documents may or may not be changed at any time with or without notice and are not legally binding documents. I'm done I'm just so done
I quit my job today and I’m so happy
Just wanted to brag about my absolutely fantastic day. I have an office job, I'm a personal assistant with a high ranking government official in my country (Eastern Europe), I've been doing it for the last 9 years. Lately I expressed my wish to expand further beyond being an assistant as I've been given bigger responsibilities, organising events, etc, but all of my ideas have been brutally shut down and I was always pushed back to the assistant position. At the same time, I saw many of my less experienced and not very capable colleagues being promoted based on nepotism and favouritism. It has become very toxic for me, I started smoking again, couldn't sleep, and finally started applying to similar jobs. It was an eye-opening experience. With the 9 years I've worked here, I have become a very valuable worker, basically every company I've interviewed for, couldn't get enough…
I’m trying to stay positive but I just found I don’t qualify for paid California family leave because I need to have been here 1 year (I’m on month 11) I’ve already been struggling, my 9 year old son started throwing up excessively for 2 days, then basically slept all day, then the next day as well he was extremely lethargic. I was worried so I took him to urgent care, they check for strep throat and then discharged him. We went back home and he went back to sleep, then on day 2 of the extreme lethargy he said his back and stomach hurt so I called off and rushed him to the emergency. His blood glucose levels were in the 800’s, i instantly felt like I failed as a parent (the doctors reassured me I didn’t) and Type 1 diabetes is easy to miss. So he was in…
