Currently on shift at dunkin donuts. My coworker tried to call out today, our manager never got back to him on whether or not she got coverage so he had to come in anyway. (We’re not supposed to come in even if we have a small cough so nausea should be a bigger deal) Well he threw up. Three. Times. we kept trying to call out manager to send in coverage but eventually she just hung up and has been ignoring all our calls. So now we are violating several health codes by having him in the store. and i (a minor) have to basically run the store because he can’t touch the food and drinks. i’m going to shoot myself out of frustration, and I’m stuck at this job until i can get a new one.
I'm 20 working a full-time job while trying to pay for college, rent, groceries etc. Contrary to what the 40+ people think, I work my ass off. I do school during the day, homework in the evening and work at night. Sleep feels like a luxury at this point. I don't have a good job regardless of my work ethic and because of prices raising rent raising etc. I'm nearly at the point where I can't afford to live or I have to give up more sleep which does not feel like an option. I don't understand how people are doing this. What am I doing wrong? I feel like I'm wasting my life away and going to college for an unachievable dream. What is the motivation, I can't achieve anything at this point.

I work(ed) at a large chain pizza franchise as a driver. Texted manager 20 minutes before shift saying I would be 5 minutes late. Manager proceeds to insult me calling me an idiot when I arrived (which was 4 minutes late just saying) and telling me that I am always late (which is a lie. When I am late, which is very rarely, I always give a heads up to the manager in charge who has never been this manager, but is never and has never been an issue as it's understood that traffic is a thing). I take a few deliveries until I return to a write up slip saying that I am always late and that I was 8 minutes late; to which I pointed out that I was actually 4 minutes late and had him cross out and replace with pencil. on break It only lasts for a few minutes. I would sober up before break ended. DMT should be legal and I should legally be allowed to use it on break. same as cigarettes. What do you guys think?
