Someone shouldn’t be able to steal millions of dollars and get a fine. It should come with jail time.

Slow and steady is sad. But I've worked for decades as a contractor. That style of work made me feel that the minute I got into the shower to dress up for a remote site, I should be on the clock. Not surprisingly few employers agreed with me. After two-decades, I decided I need to work from home. This was before the covid lockdown. Now I'm seeing salaries not reflecting the costs of running my own office. I don't commute. I don't use space in some downtown highrise. I don't use electric or internet but my own. A few years ago, there was a tax credit for running a home office. That's gone. Voters should bring that back. Distributed work environments work for many work sectors. Businesses will not reciprocate your own expenses unless forced to by a federal mandate. We need home office tax-breaks back.

I was looking for one since May, and have finally found one that decided to hire me. I could have gone back to being a lifeguard at a place I didn't really like, but I decided to work somewhere closer. I wanted to find a job this summer since I needed something to do, because sitting alone at home gets exhausting for me. I have school friends, but I do not live very close to them, and the only way I can get to them is by car (I also don't have a license yet). This job is the only thing I have that gets me to do something. I haven't hung out with friends outside of school, since I think I would be bothering them if I asked if they wanted to do something together. My summers have also been pretty small scale. I would very much like to join and also encourage my fellow workers to unionize and I am just looking for guidance/direction to an established union to join. All help is appreciated. I haven't found much online for unions in my line of work. Thanks again.

Went shopping earlier at a discount store who's slogan is “good stuff cheap” so if you know, you know. I got my stuff, in line, and the manager is just going nuts trash talking someone named Alex to the cashier that's checking me out. I can hear the entire conversation. Apparently, Alex put in their two week notice and this past Saturday is their last day. This past Sunday they got in multiple trucks and had to do some major quarterly inventory thing so it was suppose to be all hands on deck. They called Alex Sunday morning and said she needed to come in. Not asked, based on how the manager was talking, but *told* her she had to come in. To which Alex apparently said no, hung up, and refused to answer the phone after. These two were so pissed, but honestly, good on you Alex. That manager…

I'm looking for a nice way to say 'thanks for your shitty attitude, cut it out' or something along the lines for 'thanks, ive made a note of your feedback, please return to your duties' What's your go to business jargon phrase?
