Australian owned meal prep in the US California closes with no freaking warning. Company was on its 3rd year. It employed 35 people. The owners/corporate from Australia assured us that we were going to expand and everything was going well. Sure enough they stop paying their bills last month. We started seeing people come and checking out the building a few weeks ago. But still assured everyone everything was OK, “don't worry”they said” . Even up to last Friday they lied through their teeth. This Wednesday was announced that we're stopping all operation and it was everyone's last day. Vendors are hunting us for their money. Employees haven't got payed. Everyone is out of job. Horrible way to go. Everyone to the streets.

So my gf 49f works in a bar with QuickDraW. QuickDraW is a lotto game that runs all day everyday every 2 min 30 sec and you can bet and win and whatever. Now you can only legally pay 600$ out because it’s under the taxable amount on a gambling win. So a guy won 920$ and asked her to check ticket. Normally you run winning ticket thru , it tells you what to pay out , and the ticket is marked as paid and cant be cashed again. So she checked his ticket and ir told her to return ticket and have him fill out a form. So here’s the turn. She goes to owner and asked what to do. He gave unclear instructions and 920$ to give him. I've worked at this company for over a year now. In that year upper and middle management has fallen apart, to the point where we don't even know who the hell is running things. They have tried to force employees to work in far distant locations that we did not want to work, and they made an intern a 7 day a week employee and manager at a store. The management also try to bully and berate employees for their own failures and take the customer's side for almost any argument.They also think that $11 an hour is accurate pay in this day and age because “the potential to earn commission!” I'm leaving after this weekend and never looking back.

This was sent to the VP of the company that I used to work until Thursday. I was anticipating that they will fire me for speaking up. Had to say what I wanted to. I am glad I did. Never ever let anyone, not even the leaders of a company treat you like crap. The two immediate supervisors of our team had left two months ago, abruptly. The VP was supervising our team, rather poorly. I'm beyond frustrated because as an epileptic this is the 2nd job I've lost due to my disorder. This is a bit of a long story ,but here we go. I worked for a gun manufacturer for a year and a half and busted my rear to earn promotions and move up in the company. I was sexually harassed at this place for a year and nothing was done when I reported it and I was also bitten by a brown recluse in their facility. My dumbass stayed and kept working. Manager took an incident report and assured me that everything would be okay. I was going to drive home and see how it felt after a couple days but it seemed like it was getting worse so I went to the ER. Told my manager. I don't have my insurance card with me. Long story short, take care of an entire greenhouse collection which I’ve built up immensely using my own time, money and passion. Supervisor got into a car accident couple years back and has a memory problem cannot remember anything, does not think I’m doing an adequate job believes I am making more problems by letting plants grow “too big” (because they were half dead before I started working there). He does not bother to help with Maintance other than seasonal cleaning, is not aware of specialized plant care aside from the gardening.
