Hello friends.
Live in Australia to preface. Am wondering the legalities of a workplace asking you to participate in a OHS bullying and sexual harassment course. Not that I am opposed to it but to the circumstances from whence the idea was birthed. The owner of the place I work has rabid humans living on her property which is one and the same with my workplace. Two of her long term housemates/friends have been taken to court regarding sexual harassment and bullying claims by former and current staff members. I am now being asked to commence a bullying and sexual harassment seminar/course because of this. Obviously it is not much of an implication to just do the online course but I feel I shouldn't be required to and am wondering if there is any recourse/legal observation of why I might not need to commence the course?
Question to American working culture
Hello community, I‘m from Germany 🇩🇪. Is your working culture really that fucked up like everybody says? In Germany the employer has to pay half of the amount of the insurances (healthcare, retirement, accident and so on). Most of us have 30 days of paid holidays, even more if you‘re willing to change an amount of money into more holidays. For most people one job is enough to pay all your expenses. If somebody tries to fuck you, e.g. your boss you can go to the worker‘s council. What is it like in the USA?

Fast forward to the 6th July and I got an email from my employer saying that unfortunately, they are not expecting high numbers of visitors this year and therefore they have to let me go. He was willing to offer me shifts in the café as opposed to my usual job but I hat was the best that he could do. This was fine and I understand with the state of the UK right now that visitor numbers are expected to…
I’ll be honest I haven’t paid on time since March but it’s always been two weeks late and I’ve paid his 25$ late fee every time. I’m just beside myself 3 days notice to vacate and less then two weeks later they want me in court. I’m having problems finding housing that will accept me. I’m beside myself and am having panic attacks. It’s all too much.
