This is why we are here
The whole western world literally had a Bethesda moment. I am getting discharged from the military because I had a social/mental disability that prevented me from focusing and paying good attention, so I could not pass my CDCs and waivers got done away with years before I joined, and I lack attention to detail. So much for me “studying hard” and “working hard.” Also, couldn't do good in college algebra either due do said disability. So much for “study hard!” or “work hard!” “You will be practically guaranteed a good job! Oooh! You are going to make bank! Them women will be all over you! Wanting someone to provide for them and marry them! You gonna raise a good Christian family!” Bunch of LIES from the modern world.
This week has been a hot one in southwestern MI. The past two days have been the first 90*degree temperatures we have seen this year. Our normal 35 minute lunch got extended to 55 both days, With no additional work time added to the schedule ( as of today). In addition they have been passing out cold water, gateraid and yesterday they passed out freeze pops. (The supervisors have been reminding me of barbacks. Carrying ice, cases of drinks, filling coolers working for us. It feels proper, we are making the “DRINKS” for the customers) A Few of the old timers I discussed it with ( one guyz been there 17 years ) said they never had an extended lunch because of heat. If this trend changes or we are penalized for lost production I will be back with an update… LIVE LONG AND PROSPER 🧙️
Are people against work Or against a job? I had this idea yesterday, but not sure if it can ever be implemented or if it makes sense to people, so here goes. I am from Malta, Eu. The idea: No wages – getting paid with economical shares and splitting profits. First problem : Finding people that can/want to actually risk having worked for no profit (there is no gurantee the business will work) Second problem: it takes a couple years for a startup to get good revenues. (Not a risky tech startup, it could be a childcare centre, a fitness centre, moving company – anything ) Third problem: how to keep business going when people decide they have enough shares.. meaning 1 less worker/part owner. Fourth problem: will there be a finite amount of shares? Or will there be a yearly issueance so as to be able to keep finding…
bro I can’t right now
Some new guy started at my place if work. He's been there about 2 weeks. He was working in an aisle when the store manager walked by. This was the conversation: SM: “hey maybe you should pick up the pace a lil” New guy: “nah, I think I'm done” SM: “What like u wanna move to a different aisle? That's fine, I know this one isn't the easiest New guy: “nah like, I'm done.” And he just fucking walked out. You go man.
