i am applying to work at this rural charter school and they ask for a resume, letter of interest, and 3 professional references. i already have my resume and LOI, i just need references. if anyone is willing to help out i would much appreciate it.
I hear a lot of news paper and cheap spray can deoderant smelling boomers say: “you shouldn't have had kids if you can't afford them” Fuck that…this society will collapse if people don't have kids. If people can't afford to have kids government need to pick up the tab or use its monopoly on force to make it so people can afford it! It is a cornerstone of societal progression and everything that comes from human interaction. There is no future without baby making. The rising cost of descent living (and even bare minimum survival) has sky rocketed and is a threat of national security! Tldr: The problem isn't people having kids it's things being too expensive for people to afford kids!
When employers exaggerate the pay rate
Wage Theft in our store.
So I'm just wondering if anyone can give me some advice. I'm not gunna name the names of my employers because I dont know what the ramifications would be but I dont know what to do or who to ask. So here I am! Basically i work in a “big-name” coffee bar in a “big-name” grocery store. So our store manager got fired last week. Word spread quick and it turns out he was fired due to not enforcing unpaid lunch breaks (at least 30min per 6h shifts) but changing employees clock times to say they WERE taking their lunches when no one was. So not only were people working 6+ hours with no breaks, but their worked wages were stolen when he did this and paychecks were shorted. Everyone in the store has been complaining about seemingly shorted paychecks for a while, myself included, yet none of us get…
Long story short, I just graduated with a bachelor's degree and a double major. I have applied to quite a few places and usually get at least a first interview. I applied at Legacybox as a digitizing technician. I DID NOT sign up for what they tried to stick me in. Instead of working in the field that I have a lot of experience in, because they were “so short staffed” I was placed in the area of unboxing orders and inventory. I didn't apply for that. I didn't sign up for it nor did I accept a position there in my two interviews, background check, or silly drug test I had to take. At no point in time did they say “Hey, we know you applied for a position you have experience in…..but we are going to put you in the worst and most mundane job possible here”. No.…
I just became a new manager and I want to treat my team well. It's a typical office environment. I had horrible managers in the past, so I know what not to do. I'm just not sure what I should do that for above and beyond.
I do believe this belongs here
I’m a new lawn technician and they didn’t tell me our spray product could stain because of the iron. Got some on a driveway on accident. Now they’re saying I have to go use my own gas and my own time to go clean it. Can’t be legal right?
