Denny’s waitress literally crying
Sorry, guys, this is going to be long. I figured this would be the best place to put this out. I decided to go to this particular Denny's for a nice cheeseburger when I realized there was only one worker there tonight and she was trying her hardest to get everyone settled. I could tell this lady had enough when I saw her literally tearing up when a customer was paying and then saying how her manager is trying to find any little thing to fire her, and how she was trying her best to do her job. I talked to her and she explained just how terrible her manager and several customers were treating her. I gave her the biggest tip I can offer, I also asked her if she needed help looking for another job, and gave her my number so I can send her a ton of…
Light housekeeping required too! This was posted in a nanny/babysitting group I'm in on Facebook. Years and years ago I nannied in college and every so often a post from one of these groups floats up on my timeline. They are looking for daytime care, 3 days a week, on weekdays, for a 3 year old (plus light housekeeping). They ended the post by saying “funds are tight so this is the ideal job for a teen just looking for experience!!” They have not responded to any comments asking how a teen is supposed to work during the school day. And, in case you're wondering, virtually nobody homeschools here nor do we have hybrid/virtual academies where this a plethora of teens available all day on weekdays. Also, even inexperienced teens (in our VERY high cost if living area) make $10 an hour. They are not going to babysit and do…
No lawmaker simply woke up one day and thought “Hey, let's pick an arbitrary number that businesses can't pay their employees below”. Neither did they wonder “Why don't we force businesses to put designated pissing and shitting areas in the workplace?” or “How about we make it illegal for businesses to pay their employees with tokens instead of money?”. Those regulations were created not out of flippancy but necessity. Businesses used to have free reign on how low they paid their employees, whether or not there were bathrooms for them to use, if fake currency could be used to keep them indebted, and much worse. Each passed law was a victory of the proletariat over the bourgeoisie, a victory of human decency over endless greed. But those times have passed. Today, businesses lobby lawmakers to turn back those victories as the ignorant populace cheers, having been convinced that removing their…
People want to work, and feel useful. The management just wants to cull your work without compensation. Stop
People who have been here for years and years are getting paid 2 dollars less thank all of the new hires. I'm very glad people are finally starting to stand up to themselves. Please keep doing this, gather everybody if there are issues going on and go on strike.

Don’t blur company names
When people post pictures of things their boss has done, why do they always blur the name of the company/location/manager? The whole point of posting things like that here on r/antiwork and other work reform subs is to call out the company and protect other future/present employees. If the location is blured it ruins that.
The Overlords feeding the animals
I used to work for this company. Everything here I am stating is just facts. If you know weed companies in IL you know they make stupid amounts of money overcharging for low quality products, so Verilife is doing very well. They just recently gave everyone in my old store a .15c raise on top of their base pay of $16/hr. They just laid off the entire corporate call center and pushed those responsibilities onto the floor employees. They also just laid off the in store front desk clerks, there were sometimes 3 up there at a time, and they also served as added security, and were paid ($1) more for performing security tasks. They were laid off due to budget cuts as well. Verilife has recorded record profits over the last year, and they made that very clear as our managers would gather us frequently to let us know…
