No matter what, the middle class and poor will be the one to pay the price. This may not be exactly like 2008, but the aftermath will be…. This is from the UK, but watch this: https://youtu.be/Of-Xq5WxpAs The government and the Bank of England took drastic action to save the U.K. economy in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis. Insiders from the world of finance tell us how decisions made to solve the crisis allowed them to “make out like bandits.” I hope they make something like this for the US and show how the CEOs of the fortune 100s and mega wealthy got super rich after 2008 while the poor got poorer.
I only make $25/hour and the multiple late fees incurred this year have amassed to $156.00… that’s almost a day’s paycheck I’ve been asked to forfeit because our business manager is an idiot. I don’t know what to do besides go to HR and likely get fired and start a whole legal debacle over this, one I can’t afford. I mean, the last time I tried to complain about being scheduled 12 days straight with no PTO or comp days until 4 months later, they threatened me with “insubordination” for even suggesting that was too much work because it’s “in your job description” to be a “24/7 availability employee”. I cannot afford to lose this job for many reasons but I’m so sick of being fucking stomped on by the corporate overlords, constantly trying to skim my paycheck and work me to the bone. I feel like a slave to…
It all started when I was fired from my previous job. That bastard CEO fired me because someone else had been doing the work that I did for much lower pay. They cut me off from every single project slowly, and then one day the CEO told me that. Worst, he told me that I cannot do a job in my field. The joke's on him. The person he fired me for left within 2 weeks so he was left with insufficient staff. I also told all the employees about how shitty he was. I got another job at another company 3 days later. I have also been working many side hustles, working with international clients in the same field. However, despite being employed at another fun place, I have no passion or job loyalty to that place. I am just there to conceal myself from prying eyes, stay there…
there’s no honor in being loyal to a job. tbh, they see employees as an expense and would replace you for any cheaper option, whether that’s automation or overseas contractors. it’s real common in this community and young people in general to be confused on what their purpose is in life. and that’s understandable, how can we know what makes our own life better when all our energy is spent towards making companies richer and leaving ourselves financially and mentally empty. you feel burned out because what you’re putting all your time into isn’t aligned with your values or higher purpose. if you were on the right track, it would energize you. we never have enough free time to see what the world has to offer us and how we can really make an impact in it. we just went straight from school, to college, to work, to misery. imagine…
