all management are bastards
Gave my two weeks like an idiot
So, I know what people are going to say. I shouldn't have given notice, I should have just left. Believe me I know. However, I gave my two weeks for a couple reasons. The first being so that I could retain health insurance until I started my new job. The second was because my manager is actually decent and has bent over backwards for me in the past. The problem here isn't him. It's his boss and my coworkers. I have worked my ass off for the last two years for this job. Working two weeks in a row with no day off at times because we were short handed. I've watched our department lose every hard worker we've ever had, just waiting until I could get a better job and leave. I put my two weeks in and since no one has looked at me or spoken to me.…
A couple of weeks ago, I got a very nice promotion in my work place. Wages were not discussed, but this position has a lot of responsibility and was just assuming that the pay would be much better (it requires working extra hours and audits (one-twice a year) with our regulators) but I guess I was wrong, today I found out that they are offering me 100 EUR extra a month. So, now I have triple the responsibilities, double the work but they are only paying me 100 EUR more for all this. I'm not staying here doing all this for 100 EUR more. My question is, is it worth it pointing my boss that I'm disappointed by the wage and doesn't motivate me at all? or shall I just try to leave as quick as possible and that's it? To be honest, getting the experience would be amazing, but…
I am 8 months pregnant (first time) and not feeling well. I asked him to stay home with me, at least for the time being. He told his job and they said “if you don’t work a full shift today you won’t get holiday pay for yesterday” my husband asked if holiday pay was time and a half (if he was foregoing OT pay) and his manager confirmed it was regular pay. Is this common? Are they saying his holiday pay is contingent on his working the adjacent day, or that he has to work every day of the pay period in order to get his paid holiday?
Looking at job pay.
Don't you just love when you are looking for jobs and they put competitive for the salary ammout. Beyond aggravating.
Are you sick of vague terms like “competitive salary”, “depending on experience” “OTE” and broad ranges that tell you nothing? I've created a government petition to make it illegal for employers to use such vauge and misleading terms. Lets fight back.
