I mean your food and clothes came from somewhere
I keep seeing requests on social media for the democrats to forgive student loans. This is the biggest stimulus the government could ever give and would never. I personally would not work 5 days a week. The only reason I agree to the trash 9-5, 5 days a week is because my loans are crippling. They will only delay.
Shipping fees
My manager is an awful person. He is just mean for no reason at all. Whenever he asks me to ship something, I always choose a slightly more expensive option that he requested.
WWYD? I have a few options.
I used to work in a position I loved for a company I liked (mostly, my coworkers became some of my best friends) and in an industry I loved. COVID shut down my industry and I had some inbetween jobs for the past 2-3 years. Finally, applied and got an offer (and accepted) back in the first industry that I've been missing and doing almost the exact same thing when I left, just for a different company. It's full remote and no plans on changing, and great benefits and everything. Not trying to brag but more say that I'm going to change jobs. I have a few options, though. I'm a nice guy and don't necessarily want to leave my current job right away as it would fuck them over…. but I know I don't owe them anything, but I kinda want to rip the bandaid. Should I quit, no…
Ok boomer, super funny.
Fired After Training My Boss
Right before and at the very beginning of the pandemic back in 2020 I worked for a small cannabis growing business in the states. I was originally going to be working with another team member doing order processing, sales, etc. I trained with my team member for 2 months and then he left for a much better job. At this point I was still very new to not only the job but the industry as a whole. I did my best and wore a lot of different hats, learning as I went. I had to teach myself how to use their unintuitive traceability software because my boss didn't even know how to use it. By the time I hit month 5 I was proficient in the software and could do just about anything I needed to, or could at least figure it out quickly enough. At this point in time…
Having to wait all day to work
Hey guys, I work as a customer service representative for a national company. I have had so many technical issues (I work from home) that are due to issues on the companies end and when I can’t work because of said issues, I am penalized for it by not getting paid. The longest stretch was 4 days and if you live paycheck to paycheck you know that every freaking hour counts. Today, I clocked out for my lunch break just to see that I have been locked out yet again, due to our IT team switching over to a new server. I informed them of this issue and now, I am expected to stay right by my computer all day long, unpaid mind you, while I wait for them to fix it. I realize that this isn’t the worst thing that has been shared on here but, I have to…

About to become a manager
Hi all, I'm about to start a management role in a corporate environment (in the UK). I want the people working on my team to be happy and progress in their careers, please could you let me know if there's anything from the below that I'm missing? I'm going to speak to each team member and find out what their aspirations are. If they want to be in the same role, but become an expert in that role, then I'll ensure that they're paid fully for their expertise. If they want to progress professionally, then I want to make sure that they have access to the correct courses and professional exams to enable their progression (exams and courses are company paid), and again paid appropriately. I want the team to be collaborative, we share and promote ideas and concepts for the improvement of the company as one, we all benefit…
