So my husband drives for a waste company. They have their own mechanics and company trucks. so my husband is usually broke down on the side of the road 3-4 times a week either antifreeze leak, oil leak, hydrologic leak or transmission leak etc… So come to find out one of the mechanics knew the truck had a fuel leak(for 2 weeks), didn't say anything to anyone… The way this came to light is a metal piece came half way off the bottom of the truck. husband called it in, mechanic came to him and was like hey did you know your truck has a fuel leak??? WTF all these trucks are crap. Thoughts???
i was miserable in my job and desperate to get out from day 1. it was one of those positions that you start and immediately regret. extremely toxic and everyone just blamed someone else for issues. i ended up with a new manager after the old one was fired (without cause). i knew my days were numbered and was sending out applications left and right. one day, i had an email in my inbox from my manager where she attached the cover letter and resume I had submitted to a different company with a snarky note about job hunting on company time. just as i suspected, i was let go after an awkward couple weeks. after some digging, i figured out who at the new company had shared my application with my manager. i reached out to the CEO of that company and explained exactly what happened. i don’t know…
Fired From All Except Temp Jobs
I took a Administrative Assistant course in Community College. Graduated and there were oodles of jobs. I always landed the job..but always got fired within 6 weeks. For being unsuitable. I just could not get the hang of it and my clothes were all wrong. But Temp work…I can do. And 4 nights a week I go across the street to a telemarketing job..and they love me there! It's a real down in the mouth dump but I sell and have fun on the phone. I feel secure and both incomes allow me to lead a stable life. I call the shots at both places. I use the telemarketing job for savings and pension. I'm loved at the legal place too. As a Temp. Cant understand why I.have such trouble with permanent work tho. I make so many mistakes. Like typing the same time for 10 people to come for…
Recently my work schedule is constantly getting changed without anyone letting me know then complaining when I don't show up. Even when someone is kind enough to let me know it's been changed I'm being told the day of sometimes with less then an hour's notice. It's really frustrating when I show and it turns out I'm not supposed to be there for another 3 hours or getting called randomly asking where I am. Now we have an online scheduling app but it sucks and is never accurate and updates to the schedule take 48 hours to upload sometimes.we also have 2 printed out schedule's on the wall which is usually the accurate schedule and gets updated immediately if anything changes. You are basically out of luck if you're not there the day they change it because nobody will inform you and you won't know about till it's too late.
Should I Walk Out? Being Treated Poorly
I am currently at work fuming over the treatment that I have been receiving. For back story, I put in my two weeks almost two weeks ago (Friday is my last day) and my boss has been treating me like shit ever since. I had a talk with my boss previously and he was super nice, he was saying he understands it's not personal, it's business (because I'm leaving for a higher paying job). He was telling me that regardless of what choice I make I'd do great and just being overall very kind. Then when I put in my two weeks that “sweet” guy is gone. My boss has been giving me the silent treatment, looks at me in disgust, avoids me at all costs, embarassed me in front of a client by going apologizing to a client for my words, we always take our lunch all together on…
