That’s not what we mean…
Hi all, I have been a lurker of anti work for about two years now. This incident happened around 2 and a half months ago. Quick background on me: I am an audio visual engineer who came from high end work in a large city to a smaller town to work for a less than desirable company after having surgery on my heart. The slow pace town was a fantastic way to recover while still working. The shop was run by someone who was the perfect 90s businessman but didn't have much of an idea about the actual work involved in audio visual, which was fine. that was our job. I made it very clear to the event manger that I was able to get there on my own but I needed a ride back, which she agreed on ahead of time. I get to the event and realise instantly that she isn’t a very pleasant person to be around, no “thank you for coming on…
r/antiwork anthem
Recently things went a bit downhill at work, and i went from feeling positive about my boss and feeling like we were kindred spirits to seeing them for who they really are. Maybe i am too naive, I guess i like the idea of having a relaxed working relationship with others, and really dislike corporate culture / hierarchy / bullshit.
