We need a general worker strike. When this country gets shut down they'll be forced to make changes. They will never give us the things that the majority of the people want unless it affects their bottom line. Rights such as required paid time off, healthcare for all, and privacy in our medical decisions. Make them lose money and they'll change. Even making them earn less money will make them change. Stop the economy, start the revolution.

Abortion is NOT a distraction from a class struggle. It's a fundamental element of said struggle. Why? I'll explain: The class of owners need overabundance of workers. Why? Workers are commodites like any other. They have price. The price is their salary. The bigger the supply of workers the price falls more and more. If price falls=salaries fall. If salaries fall, the costs fall=profits rise up. Rate of natural increase in the US has been falling for decades. Decades. It was 1,7% in the 60s, it's 0,4% now. It fell 425%. All of that puts the supply at risk. Putting supply at risk, it puts… profits at risk. THIS IS NOT A DISTRACTION. My department is going to have 1 on 1 meetings with someone from the HR team later this week. They're going to ask multiple questions about our dept and supervisor. One of the reasons we have to have to talk with them is because we've had some pretty awful reviews in the quarterly surveys. Obviously the main problem is money but HR thinks we have a problem with our supervisor and our manager; which we do not. My issue was that I was planning on asking/complaining about money, but as of last week my supervisor told me I got a 5% raise which now I don't technically have a valid reason to complain. Mini background story, I currently work at an extremely toxic work environment who treats me poorly and there’s no room for growth; nor do I have interest to. I cry almost every day and literally took 3 mental health days off to cope in 5 months span, which has never happened because of work before this. I’m not married, no kids and still live with my mom so no major expenses. I also have 15k saved (no debt) & am currently actively looking for a job, am getting in touch with multiple opportunities at the moment. Fine Crew- Unfortunately, the requests-off have become out of control. Way too many of you take-off too much, especially on Saturdays. Changes must be made for the betterment of our business. I have no good answer when Jeff and Lu ask me, “how come you allowed 25% of the staff to have off on a Saturday night?!”. So… Moving forward: -Requets must be 3 weeks in advance now, any requests sooner than that are automatically denied. -Always submit your requests with notes/comments on why, or it will be automatically denied. -Multiple request-offs and excessive vacationing will result in the decrease of permanent shifts. -If you are on the permanent schedule on Saturdays (98% of you), only 2 requests off on Saturday nights PER YEAR will be granted, or you risk losing your permanent shifts, or even termination. -In order to prevent groups taking off together, from now on If you…

I quit work today. I'm going through all emotions currently with happiness being the most prevalent. I don't have a job lined up. I do have ventures that I started and have been doing part time. It won't pay me what my IT job paid, but it's a start. I'm scared, but it will be ok. I made the right choice. (I'm not asking you that. I'm telling you.) 🙂
