I want to quit after the 3rd day

Job seeking has been kind of rough lately. About me, I'm an almost 37 unambitious Male and most of my working experience has been in warehouse and manufacturing. I've done a fair amount of driving work too but I hate traffic and people in cars. I don't have a degree and these type of jobs usually provide decent benefits, decent enough pay above 20-25 an hour for a shrub such as myself (I don't need much, I am pretty minimalist and tend to be a homebody and rarely leave home except for concerts or foreign country vacations by myself once in a while) but it seems like a majority of warehouse/manufacturing workers are miserable people to deal with. I just started a job as an order picker in a freezer warehouse. $22 an hour, health/dental/vision/life insurance benefits package, employee assistance program, 4 weeks PTO on the first year. They provide…

The future is looking bright!

So after being taken advantage of in my current warehouse role for the past 2 years and management criticising me and my colleagues behind our backs (and sometimes to our faces) about performance. When we were working as hard as anyone would in a product packing position. But coincidentally a few people are all leaving at once and the owners are going to be in for a reality check! Meanwhile I've landed a new job with almost double the pay, ongoing training, less physical labour and with a company that seems to communicate well and treat their employees better. Here's to the future!

A lot of us have a bunch of student loan debt. What if we just start sending in a fuckton number of handwritten letters for debt validation and the like? We could overwhelm with it all!

Is this a workable idea?

Is it legal for work to make you stay when you’re not clocked in?

I’m a closer at my work-and once i finish i clock out- but i’m always told i’m not allowed to leave until everyone is done so we can all leave at the same time for safety reasons. but if i don’t want to do this, how can they /force/ me to stay? if i’m not on the clock they shouldn’t be able to tell me i can’t leave? is that even legal? There’s nothing stopping me from going but i would be in a lot of trouble which if they want me to sit there. id gladly do it paid. but my time is my time ???

My Supervisor is Homeless

I work in a kitchen. We've recently been bought out buy a much larger corporation and in theory should have more money now backing the business. Not only this, but our KM recently quit, so our AKM moved up into the role and appointed supervisors, who got a pay raise. (To 16 USD an hour) Even after this pay raise, my poor supervisor is struggling to survive. He's living in his car now, working two jobs, taking care of his recently hospitalized wife and his daughter. Despite making well above the fabled 15 USD an hour, the fabled “livable wage,” He's lost his home and is now living in his car, pay check to pay check. There's just something wrong here man. No one should have to deal with that.

I need positive stories of life after HR drama

So for context, my bosses have been bullying me for nearly a year. A lot of it is subtle, covert and sinister. I got tired of it all and lodged a HR complaint. They took the opportunity to counter-claim and pulled out screenshots they’d kept from when I’d been at my most depressed and exhausted following their relentless bullying (nothing overly nasty, pretty much just sass on my part) to claim I am “hostile”. I am being told I could face disciplinary action. I’ve been with my company 15 years and have never had to raise a HR complaint or had one against me. I’m so worn out and really want to hear from people who have gone their own way and achieved great things after such circumstances in life.
