“There’s no-one in here”
Are you that friend?
Hi all. Essentially my time at my current place of employment is running out in 2 weeks. After dangling a job offer over my head for a month I just found out that they weren’t interested. I think it has something to do with the fact that the interviewer told me my asking rate was too high. So for anyone who used to work at an office, is there anything I should get my hands on before I’m out of here? Ideally something discrete that would take a while to discover. Security mostly isn’t a factor but I’d prefer to avoid big heavy things that can’t be transported in one trip. It would be sick to get an industrial printer but I won’t have the equipment.
I am infuriated. Fuming. So when I first applied for this position, it was advertised as being directly through the company. Ended up finding out it was actually through a local temp agency, which I was not familiar with at all. Biggest mistake in a while. The pay was exceptional for someone my age, and as a college student, as well as the hours. Another red flag in retrospect. I go to interview through the warehouse manager directly, and everything goes well. Except I find out I'd be making $4 less than what was advertised, as well as having entirely different hours than the temp agency told me. I'm not the best at standing up for myself, and have some fairly bad anxiety when it comes to interviewing, plus needed a job to keep up with rent as quickly as possible. So I just agreed. The pay was still enough…
My job schedule and budget, your judge.

ive started this job as a part time since i am at my last semestr of my masters. it seemed like a nice offer, related to my studies and it offered flexible schedule which was perfect during finishing my studies. yeah. i should have decline the offer after heraing about “family atmosphere” during the job interview and the fact that my boss interrupted our conversation to talk to the construction worker that is working on some renovation in the building. and after finding out that i am im fact hired to cover TWO OTHER PEOPLE positions that quitted after only 3-4 months working there. but i stayed, it wasn't the worst, even though i have quite responsible position and lots of work for a part time employee, sometimes i have to come to work 2h before and leave 2h after to make up for the days that i am absent…
