I have my main boss who says it's a ” requirement ” to have cameras on during meeting and she should not have to keep asking us to do so it's part of the job and they expect to see you Now I do agree somewhat as a employee you should be presentable but also like customers do not see me and it's kinda a invasion of privacy to have a manager or company in my private home space? Like I have my camera in my bedroom because I'm not rich which feels even worse We do have “backdrops” built into the cameras that block out the background but they can glitch and cut off at any moment which kinda gives me anxiety if it were to happen and coworkers and bosses judge my living situation
A post in r/antiwork has called for a general strike for the very possible elimination of Roe v. Wade in the United States. https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/uhfipg/roe_v_wade_general_strike/ All Americans who support abortion rights should organize—when and where possible—for a general strike to eliminate the increasing restrictions on abortion by conservative officials. Need a week off from work ASAP!
I needed a week off from work but my vacation and personal time off was denied by management due to new person(s) being hired. The other option I had in mind was calling out sick with an officially stamped sick leave from the hosputal. What are some legitamite reasons i can call out sick that would offer me roughly a week at home?
Please protest with us.
Now I have to work more for less money, the workplace is getting worse, I have zero motivation to do anything
It wasn’t a bad job. But the thought of being told what to do by another human being felt so unnatural. I just woke up one day and said, No More! I quit my job that day. I’m young in the prime of my life and don’t want to waste my youth doing what I don’t want to do. These days I’m excited to wake up every morning (or afternoon).
Basically just venting. No idea how young people are supposed to get started in the USA w/o crippling fear of debt & the fear of losing the health lottery and things getting even worse
