We had a situation this morning where a supplier called and said we had 17k sqft of a product reserved at their warehouse that needed to move now. Boss called me and said there’s no way we need that much. I did the math and told my assistant to tell him we did need that much and I went to the bathroom. Came back just in time to hear my boss tell her, “have her check again, she’s wrong. Like always. Guess I’m eating this too.” I saw red. I printed out the calculations showing the sqft needed and a copy of every invoice showing how much had already been shipped, and told him I’m not wrong, I work according to plan. It’s not my fault if they make changes but according to plan we needed that sqft. He said if it’s wrong it’s on me, and if I’m so…

“Because no one wants to work..”
I went to a mechanic shop to get my oil changed the other day. The owner greeted me by saying “We are behind schedule” “Because no one wants to work..” Then he looks at me like I will return his point by bashing the “non workers”. Every customer that walked thru the door same thing- “we are behind schedule” “Because no one wants to work..”. With every other person making comments on “welfare” “young people” “no work ethic” I am getting sick of the whole “no one wants to work” excuse/bashing. If you can't pay a living wage you do not have a real business.

Here's the original post I made https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/tyku59/i_am_about_to_ask_for_a_raise/ Idk if anyone really cares for an update but I got my raise! My manager even actually got me more than I asked him for!!! I mentioned last time that raises don't go out till mid year, but my manager found a way around that. He had me apply for my new PROMOTED AND SALARIED position and then just had HR approve it so we didn't have to wait. Effective next Monday I will be getting roughly a 27% raise, and I will no longer be hourly. I'm honestly in shock right now. My manager is such a kind guy, and I really only barely expected to get what I asked for (if not less). But this man fought for an extra 5k on top of what I asked for. AND he informed me that I am definitely still eligible for the yearly…
Where is the organization to support the striking workers? What exactly do you want to achieve? How would it work logistically? Just constantly saying we need to do a general strike without Any of the details worked out is getting us nowhere.
