My family is a landlord, they have been renting a house out for HEAVILY below average costs in the area, despite making the house so cheap, they still live very nice lives due to their rent and jobs, Despite renting the house out cheaper, they’ve actually made about as much of they were to rent out the house at average for the area, this is because people of the are stalk about the house, the price and the kind landlords, and the tenants they get are very kind and usually cost them little to no extra expenses Not only is the average landlord an asshole, but he’s an asshole for no real reason.

i hate hate HatE my job and i’m constantly hating myself for staying. i know i need a new job and have been applying but the interviewing and application process is grueling for me too. i think i’m stuck on a negative cycle

Tested positive and now I have to stay home for a week without pay. I’m the sole provider for a family of four. Just fantastic

I’ve been seeing a lot of job postings that ask for videos of applicants answering typical/atypical interview questions. It seems so bizarre to require that of us applicants when we already write cover letters (sometimes), email hiring managers to follow up (sometimes) and the most irritating of them all: re-filling out what’s on your resume onto an online HR site because the parsing is terrible. Just seems like a waste of time to me is all.

I've searched for completely free resume builder, but Im not finding any. The ones I have found all force you to pay if you want to actually download the thing. Help I'm desperate at this point. Edit: In the US btw.

Quick break down on the situation. 1) we live in california 2) she works at a private Daycare with 10 people 3) shes been working there for about 3 months So my girl friend recently asked me if her two 10 min breaks she has are supposed to be paid because they make her clock out each time. I told her to my knowledge yes and the research i did is also saying yes but i cant find the actual law saying that so that she can show her boss, all im seeing are links to articles or law firms. Are there situations in which 10 min breaks are not paid?

I’ve been working at a failing performing arts college for a year. After a year of disrespect, getting yelled at, and my time and talents not being valued, I quit. My eyes have been wandering elsewhere when they furloughed all staff for two weeks due to the owners mis managing their money. (Mind you, we just had a million dollar student lounge built, as well as just held a huge festival) I legit have victim mentality, as my immediate thought was, “oh no! I did something wrong!” I’m getting past that. I messaged my students, and let them know. And they all support my decision. This subreddit has really helped too. I’m done with this abusive thought process and not being valued. Thanks, y’all.
