What I mean by this is that major retail companies or grocery stores give out huge discounts for employees. I'm talking 50-75% off of products simply for being an employee out of the notion that the company “loves their employees”. What are the good and bad that could come from this? And could it put a stop to the hate for these companies?

I’ve had issues with this job since I first started. I was watching the company go extremely belly up and rapidly going to shit. I was a manager, and my only person above me was an area manager who was a literal nightmare. I had started looking for other jobs when I was written up for not doing a task on an approved day off. I finally found a job that matched my original salary and promised me a raise after 90 days so I called my area manager to put in my notice. Okay so i work at a chain store in a deli, ive had to call out multiple times because they won't accommodate. Roommate had covid, they tried to make me come in Injury that lead to doctors appointments, decides they could do my schedule change and ignored it for three weeks then said i wasnt a team player for wanting that day off every week so i chose another day I had to call out a few times over this, so now im on probation except ive been on probation for like 2 months and they wont tell me when it ends and i was given no warning before hand, i have to come to work vomiting until they send me home or i lose my job.
