I'm out with covid and am following the mandatory quarantine for 5 days. My employer also mandates 5 days, then I can return to work with a mask. They're telling me I have to use my PTO for this time. They got rid of specific covid pay last year… However, if I'm reading NYS emergency covid sick leave correctly an employer with more than 100 employees is required to pay for this time with “employer provided Covid-19 sick leave. ” Since quarantine is mandatory and I cannot work from home, I don't think I should have to use my own personal time. The NYS page seems a little convoluted. https://paidfamilyleave.ny.gov/COVID19 Does anyone have experience with this? Are they required to compensate me with a separate Covid-19 sick leave or do I have to use my PTO?
How would you respond to your boss?
My manager has now said to me twice “there's something off with you I just don't know what” How would you respond to this? I don't even know what that means exactly. I've been this role for 4 months now. Still on probation period. I have to speak with them tomorrow and am thinking of saying I don't understand what you mean by that could you explain further? Any advice appreciated

They declined my raise – stay or go?

I was originally hired to be an administrative assistant at $16. It wasn’t good money so I figured it would be a temporary job til I find better. But then the payroll person quit the day after. So they asked me to step into that role instead – makes sense, because my background is in finance and I have years of experience. $18.00 per hour. So now I’ve reached my 90 day mark – and I felt that in most companies, that’s generally a time for review and depending, a raise to a more stable salary. In my 90 days, our accountant who handled all of our invoicing and A/P and A/R quit. And we hired multiple admin assistants that quit the very next…
