Imagine the uproar when the people who inflate the price of insulin for diabetics, also raise the price of sunscreen. Seems like as the earth gets warmer there is opportunity for “market growth.” Seems like Tesla scared everyone into thinking we need electric vehicles for the climate. They don't seem so affordable. It's like they know the need is great, so they raise the price, so let sunscreen raise in price. Then maybe, because demographics of those affected by the sunscreen inflation, the masses will stop pretending capitalism is equitable. 🤷‍️
Dealing with disrespectful coworkers
Anyone ever have that one coworker that for some reason has a problem with you, and you simply can’t figure out why? You treat them with respect, and they simply treat you like trash? Well that’s the situation I’m in. I work as a service writer for a Ford dealership. I get along with all the the technicians at my job….except one. He’s more or leas my age, but the kid is taller than me. I’m a very timid guy, so yea I’ll admit, he intimidates me, but I don’t let him notice. He’ll be laughing, joking around with the other technicians, and when I come around he does a complete 180. Don’t know what his problem his. He always makes me ask customers for “more information”. I know I’d have a problem if all the other techs asked me that, but that’s always an issue with him. Today, he…
I am an aide at an elementary school. School is closed for Spring Break. It's not possible to work. I was never told about this during my hire and they sent me this letter TEN DAYS AFTER Spring Break. I called payroll and was told there's nothing that can be done. Is there any recourse I can take? Any advice reddit?
There are a hand full of people who aren't morning people, myself included, so it's really easy to be like 5 minutes late for various reasons. Anyone that shows up late basically has to do the walk of shame, which starts out the day shitty. These meetings are never fun and enthusiastic either because some people are pissed off at other people for being late but also most people are not the bright morning person types, or whatever. It's a real downer in the morning. No matter how hard some of us try, someone will always be late. I hate how this dumb meeting just makes everyone feel shitty from the get go. I don't understand how management thinks this is productive for the company. Like, start the meeting at 10am so that people can get a chance to wake up and get into a better mood and it would…
Fired after giving two weeks notice
So I just graduated College & found litterally my dream job in forestery. I gave my two week's notice & was fired on the spot. How common is this these days? Feels like companies will do anything to save a dollar. I'm not even full time either, just weekends.
