Thank God for the rich!
I’m glad I never became a chef
For my entire life I’ve loved cooking. I’ve cooked passionately for my friends and for my family for a very long time. When I was younger I wanted to be a professional chef, but honestly I’m so glad that I never pursued it. Right now, cooking is still my favorite hobby, because it hasn’t been spoiled by capitalism. Pursuing your passions and hobbies as a career will ultimately ruin them. You will eventually dread every second of your dream job. Tonight I’m going to make a meal for my girlfriend and my family and I’m going to genuinely enjoy every minute.
I thought Billie of all people would understand our movement, but then she writes a song hating on a guy for being an antiwork supporter. She’s super rich and still slams him for “having no job, he’s nothing but a lost cause.”
employer doesn’t want part time workers
Even though there is provision by the company to work part time, hrs and employers doesn't want part time workers because it will let workers get busy with their personal life..
Well i kind of understand, it is a fairly large company, lots of employees to take care of and be caught slacking off. But it's starting to get on my nerves. I do my job, i do it well, I think there's no need to be this controlling. We need to inform of everything we do, even going to the bathroom, (some of us work remotely). But hear me out, if I'm late one single second, there he is, the man himself asking why I'm not in “my section” and if something has happened. I start working every morning at 8 am, and it's not great, this boss of ours interrupting my 8:03 morning piss. Do you think he is micro managing us?
I think this question would open up a nice discussion about exploitative industries on an international scale.
Just kinda need to Rant.
Oh boy… how do I start this. I'm fucking absolutely livid? How about that? So for context to kinda explain what's happening. I started this new job a while back. I like every second of it even tho the pay is trash. ($13/hr) But didn't mind because over time and a great career to move up and make a lot of money. I work for a currently small company that makes eye glasses and goggles. When I started I was put in the stock room. Pulling orders as they come in the system. Now, keep in mind this is a huge stock room, 100s of different types of frames. And thousands of different types of lenses. I'm in there by myself pulling orders, (there is a teenage girl that works in there but we'll get to her in a sec). Ever since my first day on the job, I over…
