Not to insinuate that younger generation are morally superior per se, but they unarguably have a broader awareness of fairness and exploitation, and less of a spirit broken workhorse mentality which perpetuates the master-slave dynamic. Do you think we will see dramatic sweeping changes when they reach the upper echelons of organisations, politics etc in 20 or so years, or will the system wring the youthful idealism from their hearts and lead them to become intoxicated with the newfound influence and affluence so that they essentially take up the mantle of their predecessors? I’ve already seen some friends make the “awkward shuffle to the right” as they expand their bank accounts and certainly such positions seem primed for those who are inclined to being cut-throat and dominant more so than egalitarian, at least thus far. How do you see it playing out?

A bit of a background: Recently, I decided to switch career paths from administration and management and into a more data-centric analyst role. I started taking part-time classes at a local college and self-studying SQL and Power BI in my free time. After receiving a job offer from this company as a business analyst, I thought I really had made my efforts worth it. However, things immediately went downhill the moment I started. I was thrown into the job and assigned multiple duties including: Warehouse receiving Warehouse shipping Inventory management Miscellaneous IT tasks Attending meetings as early as 7:30 AM and as late as 9:00 PM without any overtime pay My manager told me that in order to be a good analyst, I had to “get my hands dirty” and involve myself in the process. I love working
I love writing books – it's a lot of work. Writing, formatting, creating covers, filling a thousand forms so you can self-publish… Between 2019 and 2021, I've published 5 books in Portuguese, and then translated two of them to English. I do it for free. I put them on Amazon, because it's the only way a lot of people can discover it, but I also have a website with them for free. Even on Amazon, whenever they let me, I offer them for free. I also love recording songs – so much work! I've recorded 20 albums so far, I guess. I also do it for free, just for my enjoyment. Nobody likes it, but when they do, they can listen to it, or download it for free. Why not? It's already done and it's free to copy. I'm not losing my copy. I love creating or editing videos for…
