We've spent a lot of time trying to explain to people that people do want to work, we just don't want to work for starvation wages. But you know what? So the fuck what if people don't want to work anymore!? You are not entitled to labor for your business! If people don't want to work for you, that is on you as the employer. You are on the demand side of the labor market, you're in the market to acquire some labor. You are subject to the same market forces as anyone else on the demand curve of a product are service. You don't get to change the rules of capitalism once you find yourself on the losing end, you entitled pricks! Saying “people don't wanna work” is the same as going into McDonald's, throwing a couple of pennies on the counter and saying “Give me 3 Big Macs!”…
It’s seriously ridiculous. It’s like these companies expect us to be 100% professional 24/7 as if we aren’t allowed to have a life. Not only that but if an interviewer sees something on your social media profile they are biased against or don’t like they can just make up some BS reason to disqualify you. What someone does outside of work shouldn’t matter as long as they aren’t harming others and aren’t being racist, sexist, homophobic etc.
That’s why we job hop
They are robbing you Mr. Bezos

What if you called it plutocracy?
I see a lot of shade thrown at capitalism, and understandably so. It was the banner under which many of our economic policies were published. Now that things have soured, it is understandable to associate everything that went wrong with the capitalism that was shoved down our throats. However, almost nobody talks about plutocracy when it comes to the same economic issues. It’s like everyone KNOWS that the wealthy control everything, but they can’t bring themselves to call that plutocracy. In a plutocracy, the needs of the wealthy few outweigh the needs of the many poor. That’s what we’re upset about, right? Why are we using a different name for it? Sure, THEY call it capitalism, but why should we? Why are we using THEIR terminology, when that’s what allowed them to manipulate us in the first place? Aren’t we just playing into their hand by agreeing to call it…
I am taking back control of my life
Thanks to this Antiwork movement. I haven't been entirely happy with my work situation lately. I have been working since the pandemic and have not gotten much respect. I am making demands and changes to my work and have been waiting for changes. If I don't see changes. Fuck it. I am quitting.
American law violations.
First time poster from Canada asking our American friends a question. I understand the differences state to state in regards to labour laws what I'm wondering though; how is it that regardless of state or the company, that the government seems to allow and puts the burden on its workforce to not prevent but hold them accountable after the fact. I've no doubt it happens here as well I'm thankful and lucky enough in my experiences to avoid issues or having been so slight prefer to just cut my loses in the first place. With 10x our population figure it'll happen at the least 10x more often so I take that into consideration. Do you feel the company is to blame? Do you feel your government isn't protecting you as it should? I've notice the yeah the laws the law but burden of proof is falling on the individual to…
