I don’t even know what to do in this situation tbh. Our manager came into work last week knowing full well she was sick, and since then about 10 of us have had to call out because we all got it too. It sucks because we work in the food service industry so no sick pay, and of course they’re mad at us for not showing up to work. I’m so sick of working for people that don’t care if they get their workers sick. And the fact a manager is what got us all sick this time is what makes me even more furious. Especially as someone who’s immunocompromised so I’ve gotten knocked on my ass more than anyone.

Basically what the title says- a coworker of mine who has been at my place of work for about a year, was complaining to me (an employee of 2 years) that a different coworker of about 6months got a raise. So I was speaking with her, purposely knowing that my manager was in earshot. I told my coworker my pay rate and mentioned that I’m going to ask for a raise at the beginning of my next year (August) and if they don’t give me what I’m asking, I’m out. (I gave this coworker the whole spiel about how 7% is cost of living, so if they don’t at least match that then in reality, they’re giving a pay cut). I work at a multibillion-dollar company with thousands of employees. I got an upper respiratory infection last weekend and saw the doctor who suggested I stay out sick on Monday. the doctor provided a note and I told my acting manager this. nobody likes this guy because he is a bully to his team and a brown noser to everybody else. so he emails me back and tells me to use a personal day for that Monday. I send one back to question that questions what he said because I was sick and shouldn't use a sick day because of that. I hear from teammates days later that he has told them our company doesn't provide sick days. I never get a response from my email. I put the day in as a sick day. days later when I check my timecard I find out he has changed the day…
