I am in the final round for a job that seems decent- not much better than my current role, likely more money, and they can't commit to fully remote on a perm basis. It's likely I will receive an offer. During that process, I was contacted by a much bigger company, in a tangential role that is a slight stretch for me, but not much. This company likely pays about the same if not a little more than the first job, but is fully remote forever. I am not sure I would receive an offer from them, but I'm going to try like hell. Would it be an absolute career killer to accept a job offer but continue to go through the interview process with the target job – and jump ship if they were to offer me something? Serfdom ended because the plague killed most people, and with less workers, the workers had bargaining power. The population is now sky rocketing, but the gap between the wealthy and the poor is growing. This means more and more peasants and less and yet more wealthy individuals. Many of these huge corporations have literally built cities completely owned by them. Workers no longer have bargaining power. Unemployment is intentional in order that there will always be a surplus of desperate workers willing to fill any roles that companies require. It won't be called serfdom, at least not initially, but it will be serfdom in all but name.

As title says I don't think that we can do anything peacefully, no this is not a call to violence. But what breaks the camels back? When do we say enough is enough? There has to be a line in the sand where we can't stand it anymore.

What is my worth supposed to be measured in? I mean sure we can spit all day about how much we all should be doing but my argument is minimal. I heard someone say we should be pulling our weight but what’s the amount required? Why is it that someone should be qualified to work more than me? Why do lower class citizens work 10000 times harder but ceos are already made? We are already in a dystopia!

I've got an office to myself, and I've gotten so good at my job I can do in 20 hours what others take 40. But because of that i tend to use my cell phone to surf internet 20 hours a week. Would like to know people's thoughts on putting things onto a USB to avoid company internet monitors, to help alleviate some of the boredom.

So others can see and not get their time wasted by company offering poverty wages.

Hi, just started a new job where I have to work one year to get 1 vacation day (+ major holidays + 2 sick days) and then after that I get +1 vacation day per year I work with a max of 2 weeks….
