Walked out on an interview
I've been looking for a new job lately because my current job isn't paying me fairly. Oddly enough, they paid for me to get a valuable certification in my field, however. So the market has been good. At the moment, I haven't even applied to anything, recruiters are calling me. Cool, I'll take it. One staffing agency calls me for a good opportunity in my field. They ask my rate, we agree, and they set up the interview. It's a remote interview over Zoom. I get in, and I don't turn my camera on right away. The commission does not entice me as I do not care about the selling aspect of the job. I’ve had a talk with some of the employees and they are all getting paid WAY below minimum wage + commission, so that means that the boss is most likely going to pay me less than minimum wage too. Unfortunately I am in a position where I can not let this opportunity go (not in the US) because finding a new job would be too hard where I am. How do I approach the idea, to my boss,…
