Gave my two weeks last week. Had one forsure offer on the table and a potential offer too. I told them I was going to the potential offer cause I was very confident in it and they told me they wanted to work with me. After being taken out to lunch for a third interview, i got an email a few days later saying I didn't get the job, which me and husband found weird cause the lunch and all other interviews went well. Come to find out that my CEO sent up a meeting with them and was pushing for answers from them (she's also been known give cease and disists) and she caused me the job. But what she didn't know was that I had another great offer up my sleeve but I'm pretty pissed about the situation. She talked to me about it and said she would…
can they do that??
I'm currently paid minimum wage, worked here for three years and they're advertising online that they pay 17.00 an hour now, and it doesn't look like I'll be getting a raise. What can I do?
4 Day work Week.
If all 1.8 million of you guys walked on capital hill and demanded a federal 32 hour 4 day work week with pay scaled to compensate would anything change?
I work at a pub in the UK, and to be honest the building is very old. We aren’t part of a chain, so we are very independent. Then she drops the bombshell – the place will be closing for SIX MONTHS. Like I mentioned we are an independent venue so there’s nowhere else in the ‘company’ I can move to. Now in 2 weeks time I simply won’t have a job. I study full time so I need to work somewhere, and I honestly believe they should’ve given us a hell of a lot more…
New job and about to quit for another
I work in an IT and I recently had been interviewing for several positions, each of which takes about a month from first interview to offer (or rejection). During this time, I was offered and accepted a position that could have offered a better compensation package, and because I hated working at my last employer, I did not wait to get out of there so I accepted the offer. I am two weeks into my new job and just received an offer from one of the interviews I had when I started my search. The offer is a much more competitive offer than the one I accepted. I told the new offer that I can start in 3 weeks which would put me somewhere around 5-6 weeks from when I started my current role. Has anyone been in this situation and how can I best handle dropping this to my…
