I worked there for six months. Honestly, I loved the job and the company. I thought I was a nice change of pace to a lot of bullshit we see from companies. Good benefits, good paid time off policy, RRSP matching, even a good mental health outreach program. But any respect or good will I had toward this company has been thrown out the window. My former boss went on vacation yesterday. Her subordinant from a different city came into town to cover for her. She fired me today for 'performance issues'. What the fuck does that even mean?? No warning, no discussions, nothing at all to indicate there was any problem so severe it would lead to a dismissal. So not only did they toss me out and won't tell me a satisfactory answer as to why, but my former boss is a fucking coward and made another person…

In November I moved, officially, from my previous role in Finance tool development to a technical position more focused on what the company actually does. My previous role was cash money. They also told me that this person cannot start any training to fill my position until they receive this letter of recommendation. I have been confronted at work the past two days about this, and I know I will be confronted every single day until I complete my two weeks. I refuse to train this employee or give them a letter of recommendation. Considering I only have…
