I threw up while getting ready. I want to stay home while I am this sick, but need the better health insurance this job offers. Why do I have to work to afford labor?

Starting a new job, and warms my heart to see this in the handbook. https://preview.redd.it/dub7bjooco091.jpg?width=419&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=46de977b9822a4d94934852dfd6bf807538ba103
I am just out of school and looking for work-life balance. During my interview my new job said this is a good fit for me because typical work hours are 8-430 M-F. Since I started I've been working 10-12 hour days. My superior says this is necessary for training. I am in healthcare. I am in my 3rd week and I told myself I'd give it a month of this schedule. I did ask about when we will change to 8 hour days and my superior didnt give me a solid timeline. How do I politely let them know I'm going to quit if this schedule doesn't change soon? Or am I being entitled? Is there a different resolution I can suggest? I had a few job offers and went with this one because they paid the highest. I'd gladly go with another job at a lower salary if it…
Boomers. Making life unaffordable.
I challenge you!
Why does my boss always use this phrase? Systems aren't working. 'I challenge you to not get bogged down with customers.' Customer comes in and wants to disconnect because the price is too high. 'I challenge you to turn the customer about and sell more to the customer.' What the hell??!! What type of gaslighting is this?
So I was thinking about this because I have Crohn's and when I'm not sick from that pretty frequently I catch just about every virus that comes through my workplace or just out in public too much. I'll admit I call in alot but each time I get a note. Recently I was reprimanded pretty badly in the office a few weeks ago because I got so sick I could only just barely function. Well when I asked to go home I was told I had to ask the store manager when she came in which took 3 hours. When she did come I asked her almost on the verge of tears if I could PLEASE go home. She closed the door to the office and right away just tore into me. Saying I'm missing too much, that I'm 30 and I basically need to get my shit together, and…
Help Debunk Union Busters’ Propaganda
Please help me find relevant information to properly debunk the arguments presented by the union busters: Union dues are going to be too high (they are not). You will lose money if you unionize. Regardless of your position in the company, you HAVE to join the union. Individuality in the terms and conditions pertaining hiring/firing is going to disappear. Benefits might decrease (currently have sub-par 401k and medical insurance) with the union. The company is looking out for the interests of their employees, the union is looking out for their own interests. You will have less shifts to work available to you under union (this also insinuates that the company won't be able to pick up any additional contracts to busy their employees with) Our union representatives are going to be the union's mouthpieces that are looking out for the monetary interests of the union. Your dues are wasted by…
