It's been a good market for workers. But everyone should beware that things are changing–or at least, employers are conspiring against workers to change them. Please stand firm against burning yourself out to do 2 jobs for the salary of 1. Don't let them make their business decisions your problem, eat further into your life for no added compensation. The Federal Reserve is openly pressuring corporations to freeze hiring. I've already seen posts or articles on LinkedIn confirming that many companies are starting to freeze or slow hiring. It's spreading everywhere. Honor yourself, don't work harder for nothing. If they want to leave open positions vacant, they're not doing it at our expense!

So, I will be interviewing for a job at my local Dollar Tree tomorrow. The hiring manager made it sound like I was already hired on the phone. I’m nervous because I’ve never had a legit job before. I’m worried that my naivety of the real world will be taken advantage of. What are some things I should look out for? Or things I can do to protect myself?

To say I'm anxious about the economy and the general state of the world is an understatement. How about you guys?

Why at all are demographic questions still popping up during the application process? What is the information used for it not to discriminate? Can someone help me understand…?

So at work today my supervison (Y) asks me if i wrote these measurments on the edge of the tray they are stored in. I say no but that i think it was agood idea he explains one of the measurements is wrong (which it is simple mistake) and that it must be either me or my friend (X) as we had been making them earlier in the week. So Y had already had and argument with X the previous day accusing X of doing it and not accepting it when X told him ut wasnt him. Ended in X shouting at him that it wasn't him and storming out (it was at the end of the shift). So fastforward to the end of the day today Y again asks me if it was me as it was written in what looks like my shitty handwritting i agree it looks…
