Why didn’t I think of that already
Calling in for personal reasons?
My manager is thankfully very understanding about taking personal days. I have never taken one in the 14 months ive worked with this company, but i was trying to figure out how to word it over text to discourage prodding/questioning into the reason. So far my best is “goodmorning _____, due to personal reasons i will not be able to make it in today.” Is there a better way to word this?
Kind of a rant but does anyone else get selected all the time? I’ve now been summoned multiple times in MA, OR and now in FL.
I work for a hospital system that states they only issue payment via direct deposit. When you get hired you’re required to fill out a direct deposit form to be hired. I worked for this company previously and was never issued a paper check, not even for a first check. However, this time they issued my first check via mail stating that HR never sent over my direct deposit slip to payroll. It’s been a week since I was supposed to get my first check and am now getting hit with late fees from bills I was hoping to pay with that check. When I’ve been emailing Payroll they said that it wasn’t their problem and that it was probably the bank/USPS. What are my options/what should I do? I know it has to be 10 days until I can file with my state’s labor bureau. Thank you in advance.
I basically only see people on here talk about the dire situations in the United States and Canada. The United States is a sinking ship and I am thinking of leaving. Are any other places in the world as fucked as we are? Does some country have it together?
I hope this is the correct sub. Started working as a vendor for the plant department at a Home Depot. It’s pretty labor intensive ( pushing and pulling carts with plants that may weight 80 lbs / moving plants from sections to sections/ watering/sweeping) Im liking the job and didn’t mind working with plants. That was until I got my first check today. We get paid $14 per hour and paid every 2 weeks. This is a part time job but I go in 6 days out of the week at 9 am. Some days are 4 hours, some are 7 hours. I was paid roughly $457. My back hurts, my body is toning up (which is cool) and my feet hurt every single day. Idk why I thought I was getting a lot more for 2 weeks but this is the exact same amount I was getting working at…
What’s good for the goose, is…?
