It actually worked. I quit my job in March after a horrible 3 years working for my manager who consistently spoke down to me, asked if I was making up holidays to take off work (I’m Jewish), and constantly reminded me that I was replaceable. In his words, “we need a next man up mentality” We’ll today, I signed my offer letter for almost double what my base salary was at prior company. My wife recommended that I send my former manager a thank you note. Thoughts? Prior to my resignation, my company offered me a 2% cost of living increase.
Quote from the HR Rep of our School
As the title says. I'm genuinely curious as to what people think on this one. I do not personally invest in any stock/share markets, mainly because I know exactly how these companies make their money: 1) Either by beating down the workers and paying as little as possible and creating the capitalist hell hole we live in today 2) By putting up prices of their goods/services to knock out any kind of pay rise workers may have gotten 3) Both of the above. Sure, I could make some money by investing, but I genuinely do not want to support these soul sucking companies/corporations. So the question is: In your opinion, if you invest in the Share/Stock market, are you part of the problem? If not, why not?
Misleading offer letter
I work in higher education I received an email asking if I was still interested in an HR coordinator position. Then proceeded to ask me how my receptionist job at a research center relates to HR. Then they told me they are still coming up with the description. And if I am offered it I will still be an OPS employee and within the year I would be evaluated to see if I could be kept long term. I’ve been with this university 4 years and of course they try a new work day system that fucks everyone over.
I don't know where else to post this, so I'm trying here because I feel like I might get some good advice. Long story short I applied for a Customer Success Manager role at a company, it's the job I already do but in a field I consider a passion, I was very excited about the idea of working there (which is odd to believe), but believe me when I say I'd basically have been paid for committing to my hobby full time. The role as described was a Customer Success Manager role, no doubt, the role I was told about in the interviews was 100% an Account Executive, it was entirely sales based. No relationship building, no success based management, just upsell upsell upsell, and their entire measurement of success was sales and expansion. I came to the conclusion after my second interview Tuesday this time with the director,…
