I am currently 23 (almost 24) and working a dead end job. Minimum wage at a movie theater that apparently can't give me more than 15 hours a week. I can't possibly sustain my lofe on that and despite my best efforts with trying to find a job with decent hours and pay, I just haven't able to find one. If I am going to be broke anyway, why not persue my passion of creative writting. So instead of trying to find a stable income to carry me through college, i'll just apply for Fasfa and loans. At this point I either go into debt or go into debt with Style and I want to go down being what I want to be. I wanted to be responsible and not have to take loans, but with this current workforce and society, that shit isn't going to happen. I want to…

I just finished up a job application that required me to play a series of three games.. I had to literally play number and letter memorization and complex shape matching games for almost 20 minutes.. And this is just to get an interview for a entry level customer service job.. I can’t think of a reason this would exist except to weed out people with cognitive disabilities like dyslexia. How is this even allowed?

In the UK the minimum wage increases every year either in line with inflation or even higher. In the US its stayed the same for decades. How has this been allowed to happen, why have the workers accepted this shit for so long?
