Can I sue the company I work for?
I work for a chemical plant and I just found out by my co-worker that I am the only person out of 150 employees who doesn’t receive medical benefits. I have been working here for a year and 2 months and I haven’t heard of any progress being made to get me full time to receive benefits. I started working here on 20 hrs a week and then recently they bumped me up to 30 because I asked for it since I can’t survive off of 4 hrs of work a day. All I need is 2 more hours to be full time but they refuse to give that to me with no explanation. They have me covering for the receptionist, making purchases in warehouse for more parts and file work of others. Seems as thought they keep adding work but keeping my pay and job title the same and…
I was fired last week from a programming job I really wanted to work out. From the start it was clear that my boss was not equipped to be an effective manager but I pressed on as he’s not the first crap manager I’ve had. I had a frank conversation with my manager after the first time and he owned up to it and apologized. It happened again just two weeks later where there were due dates on tasks assigned to me that I was not aware of (but my boss was) and when I didn’t meet those dates, I was viewed negatively by other managers in the company. Given that the company was fully remote, I reached…

I asked for a raise
Last week my team leader left, leaving me with the work of 4 people, to myself. I’ve been at my company 3 months to the day, and have been given the responsibilities and expectations of someone with a years+ experience. There was no mention when she left of a pay increase for me or anything. Then, over the weekend I got paid – after I cleared my overdraft, rent, etc…I realised that if I didn’t have a second job I would have been left in the single digits for the next three weeks (thanks Putin, inflation, and Boris, I really love you all). Anyways, I work two jobs and it’s actually caused me so much anxiety and stress I threw up in the office last week. My therapist has suggested I take AL and rest for a few days. So today, right at 5:30, I had an email typed up…
