EMPLOYER review?
Does anyone have a reference for where I can find a questionnaire to review my boss/ place of employment as opposed to an annual employee review for me. Or if anyone has questions they think would be helpful to ask/answer in regards to employee satisfaction. I'd like to flip the idea on its head and give them some feedback. They're a small company and I don't think they're bad people I just think they prioritize the needs of the company over the needs of the individual 90% of the time and I think there should be a bit more balance. Maybe it's not worth my energy but I'd at least be interested in questions to rate them on even if it's for my own personal recognition of whether it's worth working somewhere or not.
Aside from griping and responding to people who ask if their job is fair, what are we doing in this sub to own the means of production? If Walmart trust fund babies can live an extravagant life while our taxes subsidize the low pay of their employees, then everyone should have basic income, health care, safe affordable housing and child care. How do we get there?
Good Evening, I would like to begin with an apology for any unprofessional behaviour exhibited within our recent interactions. In regards to the events of this week I would like to apologise for how my tone and frustration were interpreted, I am very unhappy hear that it was felt to be intimidating. I hope it can be appreciated how frustrated one feels when they are criticized, afforded no right of reply and are told they should “simply agree with what is being said”. I feel that an open dialogue would have been beneficial to all. Furthermore I was disheartened to be told I should “behave myself for the next three months” or that I would not be afforded a reference, as I believed this to be a threat against myself and felt both bullied and intimidated. I am hoping this was a misunderstanding on my part and that the intention…
This idea comes from my boss, who is definitely different from many — she cares about the people who make up our company, and actually looks for opportunities to make things better for all of us. And fairer. (Thanks to her efforts, we're on our way to becoming a worker-managed-and-owned co-op, since obviously that's just fairer, period.) Cost-of-living raises (which everyone should get, especially in hard times) are usually a percentage, right? Well, someone in my company told my boss (because she invites ideas!), “If it's a percentage, isn't it more money for the people who already make more money?” So my boss made the change: This year, our CoL raises are a flat amount. Now each of us gets $X000 to cover costs of living. That equates to a higher “percentage of salary” for those already making lower salaries — and doesn't that make a hell of a lot…
I work at pepsi co. Ive had 7 jobs, this has to be the worst job ive ever worked in my life. I can type pages of shit of what they have done to me and others, they do illegal shit all the time here and dont pay us the correcy amount ever. Ive almost died here TWICE also. Fuck you ill sit in my car and take a nap and collect my 21 a hour. My bosses do the same thing and make 30-70 a hour, snoke cigarettes all day and sit in the office and watch movies.
I feel like this speech should be pinned to the top of this sub. The whole thing is spectacular. Makes me want to take to the streets and eat the rich. To those who can hear me, I say – do not despair. The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed – the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish… Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7GY1Xg6X20 Text: https://www.charliechaplin.com/en/articles/29-the-final-speech-from-the-great-dictator-
Well, as the title says, I was discussing salary with my co-workers, because I think that’s so important to do to make sure you’re being paid fairly, and I found out that the least paid person in our office makes $4k more a year than me. Mind you they have also been there a whole year less than I have and are actually brand new. We do the same amount of work, albeit very different kinds of work, but our jobs are both important. My job also just hired a man who isn’t even out of college yet and is starting his pay at $15k more a year than I make. Again, him and I do the same amount of work. I can’t believe how insane the pay discrepancies in my place of work are and I’m incredibly sick of it. I do so much for my job, I stepped…
