Calm down i know that it is bad.. but captalist thrive from this because they can fire one employee thay already have other employee who you have shared your knowledge.. when knowledge sharing become less captalist indeed will have to listen to us.. without knowledge not many captalist can survive because mostly they have no idea how to work….Im not against knowledge sharing but this make capatalist have a option over us
How do you not just lie down in the dirt and die? Here, where the absolute minimum they can pay is 11.90, it’s hard to pay rent and survive. What the HELL does under 8 dollars an hour do??? Does food cost any less where you are or can you just not eat on an hour’s wage?
I lead a team of knowledge workers and I want to get external ideas on what antiwork would want in a workplace. Depending on responses here I might post more questions. I'm hoping to get a discussion going around what the ideal knowledge work looks like. We do the basics you want: we pay 2-3x livable wage to start, health insurance, 401k etc., bonus/profit share etc. WFH as much as you prefer, an office if you want a change of scenery. Now what kind of schedule would you prefer? Outputs don't change, we still need to deliver X virtual widgets per week, and we still need to cover various client meetings and such during the “classic” hours. Classic? 9-5 M-F with lunches but no mornings, evenings Compressed: 4 x 10 hour days, 3 day weekends Crunch: Super compressed, 3 days of gonzo crunch, no breaks, no nonsense, 1 day napping…

Hi guys, been reading through the sub on and off during work for a while, and felt like I should post. I'm trying to figure out if I should find somewhere else to work. For context, I work at an IT MSP(we do IT support and solutions for companies across our part of England). We currently have instant remote access to just over 1000 machines, that includes user machines and servers, and support 50-60 companies roughly. We currently have 4 active support staff(some are apprentices), and one of our bosses which is often in to help and manage. The main boss is often MIA and will turn up randomly. We receive anywhere from 10-50 support calls a day(phone calls, tickets, emails, etc..), it's completely unpredictable. And even if it's a slow day with only 10 support calls, we can still be overwhelmed because of the difficulty of the ticket, or…
My supervisor setup gift for my boss
I am in new job (4 months), where I make 6$/hour. I work there just for the experience I get and that little paragraf in CV. Currently my supervisor setup group gift for my boss who got is academic and got the professor title. She wants me to pay 20$ for group gift to which I replied I cant afford it (I really cant). Am I the asshole here? She asked about this in groupchat so it was pretty embarrasing to reply to that but I save all the money I can so I can go to foreign trips and buy some crypto and 20$ is really alot for me as I am just student. I dont live in US but even in my country this wage is very low so I dont know.. is it against general politeness or something? I got the job from acquintance but still this…
Hypothetical landlord questions
Hi everyone. I've been thinking about the absurd rent prices and how it feels like renting is no longer a stepping stone to home ownership but more a trap that landlords are trying to keep people in for a perpetual “cash cow.” Everything I'm going to say/ask is hypothetical, since I have very little money to my name and have no way of doing any of this at the moment. Are there any laws/regulations on how LOW someone can rent out property in the US? I can't help but feel like it wouldn't be hard to rent out a decent property at an actually affordable price that would pay off all the expenses and have a little left over for a repair/improvement. I am renting a one bedroom apartment with no in unit laundry or dishwasher in a small town that is 30 min away from the nearest Walmart for…
