He said he was going to do it AFTER the interview which is extremely rude if I'm being honest. I'm still new to work life, but if you want to hire someone, don't sit there wondering why no one wants to work for you when you can't even bother putting in the effort to make them want to come work for you!
My job had become very overwhelming. I was doing too many peoples jobs. People were quitting or leaving my team left and right. The work was being placed on me without training or increase in pay. My heart finally said nope. So I went on leave. These mother fuckers never checked on me. Not once. They had the audacity to be mad that I left them without an exit plan. I told them I had no back up. They said sure you do. The moment I leave they needed to hire 3 people to replace a PART of my job. They've decided I'm not worth keeping on after all this. Yall, take care of you and yours because your coworkers won't.
I finally quit my job today
Worked a part time job at the apartment I lived at. Every day was incredibly draining – having to tell people they’ll likely get sent to collections court, pestering people to sign each and every day, working late hour, horrible pay – It was awful. I got wrote up last weekend because I didn’t make their expectations (didn’t call enough people) so when they called me into their office today to chew me out, I told them I’m leaving. My last day will be next Monday. I’m a 23 year old man with a degree, not a 16 year old. The fact these people barely 5 years older than me thought they could chew me out for a barely over minimum wage salary is a bit laughable.
I’ve worked for this place for a long time. Been reliable and one of the most experienced employees on my shift. I was pulled aside and was told the client we work for wants to slash the budget. Best way to do that is to get rid of someone. Me. It makes ZERO sense. The least experienced and the greenest guy on the shift gets to stay. I don’t hold that against him. I made more money that he did. Even if they got rid of him to try to keep me, it would still be over budget. Plus my work load has to be divided between the remainder. Other shift is untouched. Even though our shift has some of the strictest of time frames to be able to work on something. I feel bad for my co workers. They are going to be RODE INTO THE GROUND. Our workload…
In my Inaugural I laid down the simple proposition that nobody is going to starve in this country. It seems to me to be equally plain that no business which depends for existence on paying less than living wages to its workers has any right to continue in this country. By “business” I mean the whole of commerce as well as the whole of industry; by workers I mean all workers, the white collar class as well as the men in overalls; and by living wages I mean more than a bare subsistence level-I mean the wages of decent living. – Franklin Roosevelt's Statement on the National Industrial Recovery Act June 16, 1933 Almost 90 years later and we still haven't learned.
