As a last FU from my employer of almost 15 years after giving 1 month notice and even finding my replacement-tiring up every loose end-I learned that my last day of employment 4/8 was my last day of health insurance. Mind you this is a multi system hospital mega power with commercials and highway signs boasting their humanity. 15 years and guess what your going away present is- you’re uninsured! Well, good for me my new job that starts in 4 days has day 1 health insurance. The finality of the job hurt more with this one act then losing my work family and seniority. thegreatreshuffle

It's nice to see more and more voices acknowledging how work life here in the states SUCKS. Almost my whole feed for the past 4 days has been on track for this sub in some measure. Who knows? Maybe we'll actually make a difference. Maybe we'll actually fix this country at least a little and not just bitch about it. That would be darling. Anyway, who's on board for May 1st?

Your Boss is a dick when… 1. They take credit for your idea or work. 2. They gaslight you. 3. They threaten you with an HR issue that will never hold up. 4. They have a list of unwritten rules that you only discover when you have violated one. 5. They yell at you in public for their mistakes. 6. They make statements about how they are looking out for you and protecting you. 7. There are office favorites who don't do any work and you end up doing their assignments.

Work: build out a bunch of functionality to ensure we comply with labor laws Me: works 3 years to deploy. Spends countless hours with legal to ensure everything is legit Company: Cool, thanks. Build these work around because we really don't want to comply. Me:….. Me: contacts local labor board Local Labor Board: yeah we don't care.
