Tesla goes brrrrrr
Human Resources
If you work for HR then get the fuck off this sub. You're exactly the people protecting the fucking problem. You ARE the problem. Unless you're doing anything to change or protect the people, you're disgusting. I've never met anyone nice in HR.
Their excuse is that this will help bring more consistence to our wages for everyone. Why not make it even then and give everyone a 75 cent raise. So I just received a pay decrease. Where does this extra money go. What’s the point in even working in this shit hole society again. FYI I’m Canadian and now will make $12.75 working as a back room coordinator for a small grocery chain. Absolutely fucking done and needed to rant. Slave away friends!!
Many jobs aren’t that meaningful, and don’t lead to much more. It’s a paycheck. Sometimes people are fortunate to have impressive careers, but to base one’s ego on that is hazardous.
Accepted a job at a non profit where I am assigned a case load and training starts this week and it’s all of a sudden broken to me that I need to track everything I do. For every moment of my day needs to be tracked with a note of at least 12 paragraphs justifying what I spent 15 minutes on. As tasks take longer more writing is assigned. They don’t even want to give me time to poop on company time as if my notes don’t justify my time this constitutes fraud. Never would have accepted this job if I had known this. How common is this?
I know this is nothing new and that others have posted the same before. But my god this is frustrating. I sent a follow up email and just nothing in return. Why in the hell do employers do this???
Asking me to come in on my day off
Every single job I interview for, I make it explicitly clear that I will never be available to work on Saturdays. I’m not going to go into detail on why but that’s just my work boundary. I will simply never work on Saturdays. My manager has asked me a couple times if I could come in on that day and I’ve maintained my unavailability. Today they told me “I need you to work ___ Saturday in June. We’re having a grand opening and I need everyone there.” I said, “No I cannot work on Saturdays.” And they asked why I can’t so I replied “I can’t work Saturdays that’s why I let anyone I’m working with know ahead of time.” Sidenote…that Saturday also happens to be my birthday so double no.
Incredibly disheartening
I’m a 23 year old who graduated college in 2020 and I have had absolutely no luck finding work. I studied public relations and I’m in graduate school but the lack of work for entry level people is horrible. Why is it that we are forced to go to college basically, just to get out and there be nothing? Has anyone else struggled finding work? I apply to dozens of jobs a day.
