So the title pretty much says what the problem is. I’ll just give some context so I can get some good opinions and advice. This is a throwaway account as I’m not sure if anyone else at my workplace uses Reddit. So I work at a car dealership in the US in the state of North Carolina, I give this much info because I don’t know the labor laws in North Carolina and that may come into play. Anyways, my sales managers have implemented a rule that if you aren’t on track to sell a certain number of cars for the month by the middle of the month then you forfeit your days off for the rest of the month. First off, that is not what…
Is the term “Wage Slave” offensive?
My mom says it is. Is it?
So here's the deal: I worked for a guy who treated me like garbage. Underpaid me, then wouldn't let me have a healthcare plan, but asked for my advice on which exotic luxury cars he should buy. One day out of the blue he fired me, I think because I'd gotten too valuable and he didn't want to pay me a fair wage. Now I'm self employed, and I'm his competition. He was always bad about not paying his bills on time, which included his website. I'm keeping stuff anonymous because I prefer to not have professional blowback over a thread going unintentionally viral. Update: I don't think he's figured it out yet though because his social media accounts still are directing people to the site I now own.
