I’m in NJ, and my checks are being rounded down upwards of 7 hours per week. I want to file a complaint anonymously cause I’m afraid my boss is going to fire me if they know it’s me.
Mcdonald’s contract South Africa
I'm considering to apply for a job at Mcdonalds but don't want to be screwed over. Anyone have a contract I can have a look at? A local contract would be ideal.
my solution, but far from simple-
In my opinion, this anti-work and great resignation movement is not about giving up having to work. It's about giving up working for “the man”. There isn't a simple solution unless we all become our own men/woman. What I mean by that is our work/labour is not given to someone else but to ourselves. I think sustainable living and self sufficiency is the solution. The complaint that no one wants to work is correct, but out of context… No one wants to work FOR YOU- but we all want to work for ourselves. Not everyone is sitting at home milking government assistance. I would like to think that a good majority of these non work returners have switched from working for you, to working for themselves. Living off grid, minimalist, not needing your employment. Those people are winning. If you want to be free, that ship has sailed, but this…
As you can tell I work in a call center environment. I take client calls for a large company and assist in medical claims, usually helping our clients resubmit their claims or finding out why they were denied. It does pay well, and I work from home. So I'm not here to say the job completely sucks. However, my start time is is 9 am. Meaning that they want me to be able to be logged into all of my work systems (6 total) plus the VPN which takes about 3-4 minutes total time. yet they refuse to let us “clock in” and get paid before the start time, yet we get punished if we aren't fully logged in by the actual start time which is pretty much impossible. Anyone else ever have a similar situation at their place of employment?
so which is it?
Salaried job checks hours?
Is it normal for a salary job to check your clocking in and clocking out hours?
I work for a fairly large organisation. I’ve been looking at starting a side business assisting the community with technology classes and other small time tech teaching gigs (just something small). Anyway turns out in the fine print of my contract I have to expose any potential business proposals or employment aspects to management and get them to run through it to make sure it’s not going to affect my current employment or be a conflict of interest. Today my boss told me that I would be unable to start a business because it would be a “perceived” conflict of interest because of internal systems I use. Not even a proper conflict, just a yep that might be a thing. Classic damned if you do damned if you don’t. I don’t have the financial backing after recently signing into a mortgage to leave and go pursue it, but it’s now…
I'm beyond baffled and appaled by the way my FC has handled the safety shoe issue. Instead of continuing to go around and ask people if they've ordered safety shoes, they've chose to erroneously impede everyone in the morning. They've reduced our large entrance area to a small line to have our shoes checked, even if we have their little tag to say we have safety shoes. The safety person this morning was rude and her attitude was disgusting. This is not the first thing I want to encounter in the morning, let alone the morning after I come back from being sick. Their solution is to not only order shoes for folks, but to require ridiculous overshoes(either covers or actual boots). The boots I was given have their entire bottom scuffed. Shoes are supposed to have grip, I almost slipped multiple times from these boots. Why are they taking…
Turnover Rate
Should publicly traded companies publish turnover rates for job postings, also by department and location?
