Was offered 2 weeks UNPAID vacation. My boss is also expecting his first child around the same time and offered to let me work from home for 1 week. (If he wasn’t having a kid as well I wouldn’t have been offered this) I’m about to have my first kid and I will likely go in to work instead of taking the week off as I can’t afford to lose out on a weeks worth of pay. Complete horse shit. This is with a big company as well that prides itself on culture and work life balance. Can’t wait to leave this place
Y’all.. I need help.
Hey, been a lurker and supporter of the movement for a while. I want nothing more than to abolish labor extortion as a whole so that human beings can have a semblance of happiness and peace. But I desperately need a job that doesn’t make me want to stop living. Does anyone know of some companies that are hiring remote positions, pay at least $15 an hour, and work a normal Monday-Friday schedule? I work retail at the moment and for a multitude of reasons, I need to do something else. I know this is probably the exact wrong place to be asking for this type of help but I’m fucking desperate. I want to keep on going to see the other side of this fucked up world. But I need something to pay my bills and also not want to stop living. Any help will be appreciated. Love, J.
I'm so sick and tired of every day 9h shifts and having to “look busy” when I finish my work and have spare time. Slave mentality.
Sharing a story from a job interview
Hey guys, I want to share a story from a recent job interview, and I want to heard opinion from you about situation that I had, because I feel off for a few days… Earlier this year (jan) I applied for a paid training program in a big multinational company and I got positive feedback. They send me a test of 40 questions that I have 1:30h to answer it, and I passed it. Later they call me, and we did online interview in english, where they seek for only basic level, and I passed. After that, I got classic HR interview of 30min and after few days they contact me that I passed and that next step is roleplay/stress-test. After passing roleplay test(hardest one during selection) they told me that the last step is only formal, and where I will have some small interview with my future managers, and…
Last week I applied for a position for a small tech company that stated the position was remote in the job description. The role matches my current experience and skills. Perfect. Applied and received an email immediately from the recruiter the next day to set up a phone interview. Well, during the phone interview everything’s going well, she’s really impressed with my background and how it matches with the role I’m applying for then she asks me “I see you’re located in XXX. How close is that to (City the office is located in) and what would the commute time look like?” I was taken aback by this question and already knew where this was going. I told her I would have to check but I did see the description stated the position was remote and wanted to verify. She told me that the position will be full time in…
