What kind of dumb lazy ass thinking board is this? Please explain

I apologize for the this post as it was spur of the moment. However, I am pretty lazy myself and have never got along very well in the workplace. But how do you guys live and pay bills etc? What is the anti work movement? Do you want to be paid off the backs of others? Like you expect me to work and just give you money for being a human? How can you take care of your family or do you not have one? This is the explanation I’m looking for.

Looking for Assistance

I work in a hospital (obviously). Contracts are negotiable due to experience, shifts, productivity and so on. We have been told that we are not allowed to discuss our salaries with each other because of this. And partners in the group should not tell newer docs what to ask for in contracts because “things are really tight.” But this cannot possibly be legal, right? I’d imagine I work a different job than many of you folks, but the laws about discussing salaries and benefits is a universal one, right?

My employer wants me to work over 8 hours some days, without paying overtime.

I am in BC. My employer wants to schedule me for back to back shifts in different departments, which can sometimes mean 10+ hour days. I am told that because I'm working two shifts in different departments, the extended hours do not qualify for overtime. Can anyone confirm if this is true or should I start looking for a new job?

Creative professional here: Let me explain why the most soul-sucking fields have the highest paying jobs while the ones that require passion are the lowest-paying

When I was a kid it always seemed like adults had to suffer to have a career. Very rarely did I meet someone who appreciated their job. Most of them hated going to work in the morning and wanted to be home as early as possible. If they had a decent quality of life they usually sold their soul to get it. Meanwhile, the most fulfilled people did their passions for a living but are living in squalor. I've never known a person who relaxes by filling out Excel spreadsheets or crunching numbers. They usually partake in some kind of art – Watching TV/movies, listening to music, or even creating something themselves. When given an option for leisure time, most people gravitate towards things created by people with passions or a form of art. So how come if so many people value art, the people who create the art are…
